Season 1, Episode 1 – Aired: 1/12/1966
Hi Diddle Riddle
A bomb goes off at the
Gotham City World's Fair revealing a riddle which leads Batman and Robin to
the Peale Art Gallery. The duo find out it's a trick from the Riddler who
serves them subpoenas. Batman must find out the Riddler's scheme or he must
reveal his true identity. Robin finds two clues in the papers and they head
to a disco where he unfortunately cannot get in. Batman's drugged by the
Riddler's assistant, Molly. Batman's drugged and Robin is tranquilized by
the Riddler, who in turn tries to steal the Batmobile. The Riddler attempts
to blow the Batmobile up after he kidnaps Robin. Batman races out to the
Batmobile but in his
Season 1, Episode 2 – Aired: 1/13/1966
Smack in the Middle
Batman's attempts to
contact Robin with no luck. Riddle copies Robin's face for Molly who
infiltrates the Bat-Cave but falls to her death when Batman discovers her.
Batman frees Robin. The Riddler goes after the Mammoth Of Moldavia. The
Dynamic Due pursue and capture the Mole Hill Mob as Riddler escapes in an
explosion.

Fine Feathered Finks
Awaiting release from
prison, The Penguin schemes to get Batman to plan his crimes for him. Batman
and Robin investigate the alias K.G. Bird. Batman as Bruce Wayne plants a
bug at the umbrella store and is

The Penguin's a Jinx
Bruce Wayne escapes his
fiery demise. Batman and Robin stake-out Dawn Robbins' place awaiting for
The Penguin but he magnetises them to the door with a giant magnet and
escapes. The Penguin is soon

The Joker Is Wild
The Joker escapes after
a prison baseball game where he Batman and Robin at a museum and at the
opera. Batman and Robin are caught and The Joker makes a move to unmask
them.
Season 1, Episode 6 – Aired: 1/27/1966
Batman Is Riled
The Joker escapes after
a fowled attempt to reveal Batman's true identity. At the S.S. Gotham
Christening, Joker recaptures Batman & Robin only to be foiled by the
Dynamic Duo.
Season 1, Episode 7 – Aired: 2/2/1966
Instant Freeze
Mr. Freeze seeks
vengeance on Batman for his accident by steeling some diamonds. Freeze foils
the Dynamic Duo with duplicates. Mr. Freeze attempts to steel the visiting
Princess of Molino's diamonds only to be intercepted by Batman & Robin. Mr.
Freeze freezes the Duo in their tracks as they try to apprehend him.
Season 1, Episode 8 – Aired: 2/3/1966
Rats Like Cheese
Batman & Robin are
thawed out as Mr. Freeze has captured the Gotham City's star baseball
pitcher. Freeze proposes a trade for Batman. Robin tracks them down to
Freeze's warehouse. Mr. Freeze demonstrates his freezing system on the
Dynamic Duo. Batman saves the day by knocking out Mr. Freeze & reverses the
controls
Season 1, Episode 9 – Aired: 2/9/1966
Zelda the Great
Zelda, The Great returns
to town to steal her yearly stash of money. On her visit she tricks Aunt
Harriet into believing that Dick is hurt and lures her into a trap which
leaves her suspended over a vat of boiling oil.
Season 1, Episode 10 – Aired: 2/10/1966
A Death Worse Than Fate
Bruce Wayne convinces
Zelda her money she stole is actually real and Aunt Harriet is returned. A
clue leads the Dynamic Duo to Zelda's accomplice, Eivol's lair where they
get captured. Zelda informs Batman & Robin about the trap and capture Eivol
and his men. Zelda surrenders and is given a reprieve as a magician.
Season 1, Episode 11: A Riddle a Day Keeps the
Riddler Away
Original Air Date—16 February 1966
King Boris, who hails from a European country, comes
to Gotham City for a visit. Upon his arrival, there is a disturbance, which
includes a clue from the Riddler. Batman and Robin investigate and get on
the Riddler's trail. They are trapped by the criminal, who ties them to
large wheels that will spin with ever-increasing speed until they are dead.
Season 1, Episode 12: When the Rat's Away, the
Mice Will Play
Original Air Date—17 February 1966
Batman manages to escape the Riddler's death trap.
He and Robin decide to lay low until they can figure out the Riddler's
caper. Meanwhile, the Riddler frees King Boris, who brings a gift to a major
monument in Gotham City. It turns out the Riddler has substituted a bomb for
King Boris's gift and he is demanding a ransom. The Riddler, though,
overplays his hand, enabling Batman and Robin to capture the Riddler and his
gang.
Season 1, Episode 13: The Thirteenth Hat
Original Air Date—23 February 1966
Jervis Tetsch, aka the Mad Hatter, is abducting all
the jurors who convicted him of a previous crime wave. He is also taking
their hats. His final target is none other than Batman, who provided the key
testimony in the Mad Hatter's trial. Batman and Robin have the Mad Hatter
and his gang cornered but the criminal mastermind manages to encase the
Caped Crusader in plaster of Paris.
Season 1, Episode 14: Batman Stands Pat
Original Air Date—24 February 1966
Batman, thanks to superior breath control, is able
to escape the plaster of Paris in which he was encased. Despite this, the
Mad Hatter is still at large. Eventually, Batman and Robin again face off
against the Mad Hatter at his criminal lair. Things look bad, but the Dyamic
Duo manage to triumph.
Season 1, Episode 15: The Joker Goes to School
Original Air Date—2 March 1966
At Gotham City High School, a vending machine gives
out money. Dick Grayson is there to witness it. Batman learns the vending
machines are operated by a company bought by the Joker after being released
from prison. The Joker and his gang are aided by Susie, a cheerleader at the
school. In the course of their investigation, Batman and Robin are captured
and placed in electric chairs. If a "one armed bandit" comes up the wrong
way, they'll be electrocuted.
Season 1, Episode 16: He Meets His Match, the
Grisly Ghoul
Original Air Date—3 March 1966
A power failure prevents Batman and Robin from being
electrocuted. Meanwhile, a recording Batman made confirms that cheerleader
Susie is one of the Joker's confederates. Robin, in his Dick Grayson
identity, attempts to infiltrate the gang. Meanwhile, the Joker's main plot
is finally revealed. Members of the high school basketball team receive
answers to final exams from the rigged vending machines. The Joker appears,
claiming to be a concerned citizen. The team's starters will be suspended as
the Joker bets big money on the team's next opponent. Batman, however, has
other ideas.
Season 1, Episode 17: True or False Face
Original Air Date—9 March 1966
False Face traps Batman and Robin, and binding them
to a subway track just minutes before a train is scheduled to come by.
Season 1, Episode 18: Holy Rat Race
Original Air Date—10 March 1966
Alfred contacts Batman by radio from the Batcave.
Batman instructs the butler to short circuit a communications device the
hero has on his wrist. This enable Batman to get free of his bonds. He and
Robin get free just before they would be run over by a subway train. The
Dynamic Duo resume their pursuit of False Face, which ends up at an old
movie studio.
Season 1, Episode 19: The Purr-fect Crime
Original Air Date—17 March 1966
Catwoman initiates a series of thefts that cause
Commissioner Gordon to summon Batman and Robin. But the importance of the
crimes go beyond the taking of the objects involved. The Dynamic Duo
eventually find Catwoman's lair. But Robin is whisked away while Batman is
given a choice between two doors. If he picks the right door, he'll find
Robin. If he picks the wrong one, he'll face certain doom. The hero makes
the wrong selection and is about to be attacked by a tiger.
Season 1, Episode 20: Better Luck Next Time
Original Air Date—18 March 1966
Batman evades the attacking tiger thanks to his
utility belt. First, he scales the wall. Then, he uses a sonic device "to
split the tiger's skull," as narrator William Dozier informs us. The hero
still has to free Robin, who is facing a separate death trap. Once that task
is completed, the Dynamic Duo are back on Catwoman's trail. It turns out the
feline villain is after the lost treasure of Captain Manx, which is in a
remote spot outside of Gotham City.
Season 1, Episode 21: The Penguin Goes
Straight
Original Air Date—23 March 1966
After his recent release from jail, The Penguin has
started his own protective agency and is thwarting small time hoodlums
everywhere he goes. Batman & Robin decide to send in an undercover Alfred to
spy on the newly reformed Penguin and his recently acquainted high society
friends. However, the Penguin has anticipated Batman and Robin's every move
and manages to turn the tables and make them wanted men instead of him.
Season 1, Episode 22: Not Yet, He Ain't
Original Air Date—24 March 1966
Allready wanted for a robbery they didn't commit,
Batman and Robin fake their own deaths with a little help from Commissioner
Gordon and Chief O'Hara. They even allow the Penguin to take hold of the
Batmobile, now renamed 'Birdmobile' in order to keep track on them via a
hidden camera.
Season 1, Episode 23: The Ring of Wax
Original Air Date—30 March 1966
The Riddler's latest scheme involves stealing a wax
figure to melt down for its wax that is powerfully corrosive when exposed to
direct flame.
Season 1, Episode 24: Give 'Em the Axe
Original Air Date—31 March 1966
Taking advantage of the Riddler's mistaken belief
that they were killed escaping his deathtrap, the Dynamic Duo must stop the
villain from stealing a treasure of Incan jewels that would mean destroying
an archaeological treasure as well.
Season 1, Episode 25: The Joker Trumps an Ace
Original Air Date—6 April 1966
The Joker launches a new crime wave with robberies
that appear to make no sense, such as stealing hairpins from rich women and
a hole from a golf course. But the Joker knows exactly what he's doing.
Batman and Robin are in pursuit and eventually invade the villain's
headquarters. The heroes are placed in a chamber and are told if they can
float for an hour, they'll go free. The Joker then begins to flood the
chamber with poison gas. The Joker says the Dynamic Duo may not be able to
swim in the gas "but you can drown in it!"
Season 1, Episode 26: Batman Sets the Pace
Original Air Date—7 April 1966
After an ingenious escape, Batman and Robin again
pick up the trail of the Joker. The villain's ultimate crime is designed not
only to make him rich but to ruin Batman's reputation.
Season 1, Episode 27: The Curse of Tut
Original Air Date—13 April 1966
A former academic who thinks he is really King Tut
has returned. Batman and Robin seek his capture. A twist occurs, however,
when King Tut's gang kidnaps Bruce Wayne. They are taking the millionaire in
an ambulance. As Bruce tries to get free, the rear doors of the ambulance
open and Bruce rides a cart toward a cliff.
Season 1, Episode 28: The Pharaoh's in a Rut
Original Air Date—14 April 1966
Bruce frees himself just before the cart he is
riding goes over a cliff. As Batman, he works to bring King Tut to justice.
But the hero is captured by King Tut instead. Batman is then tortured as
King Tut drops a pebble on his head at a time. Robin works to track Batman
in time.
